Water Baptism
Buried With Him, Raised to New Life
Baptism is one of the most significant steps a believer takes. If God has been dealing with your heart about it, we would love to talk with you.
What We Believe About Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. It is not a formality or a tradition we keep out of habit — it is obedience to what Scripture teaches, and a public identification with the Savior who gave Himself for us.
- What does baptism mean?
- Through baptism we identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is an outward step that testifies to an inward work God has already begun.
- How do you baptize?
- By immersion, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sin — as the believers were baptized in the book of Acts.
- Do I need to be ready to be perfect first?
- No. Baptism is not a reward for a life already put right; it is a step of obedience and faith taken by someone turning toward God.
- What should I bring?
- Speak with a pastor first — they will walk you through everything you need on the day, so nothing about it is a surprise.
Everything on this page reflects our statement of beliefs.
